What to upgrade?

unless you are hitting the 4GB limit I wouldn't bother with ram, I haven't got the game so unable to test.

use afterburner to see how much ram the game is using, what ress are you playing at as well?

I would upgrade the gpu, I have a I7 950 @ 4ghz and I have a 390 waiting to go in it!
 
so upgrade my graphics card first? Ive only got about £60 at the moment.
currently using hd5670 with 512 of gddr5, its actually coped quite well since I got it.

I would keep saving until you have £150+ to spend on the GPU, anything less and I think it will be wasted money as you will only want to upgrade again in a few months time.
 
I'm looking to sell my GTX770 for about £100 soon (going rate 2nd hand). That plays GTAV fine on nearly everything max settings. Probably look out for something second hand in that ballpark. Maybe an even older but just as capable card. another 4GB RAM won't cost you hardly anything. I think you could get GTAV looking fine and playing smoothly for just over £100 if you go 2nd had on the GPU.

Yeh second hand is probably the best bet for me, I'm not made of money like some of you are ;)

when it comes to Ram ive got ripjaws but id need to find the same ones to match which seem to be same price as some 8gb Corsair Vengence, how much difference in performance are they?
