Got some cash burning a hole in my pocket.. I use my rig only for browsing, photo editing and gaming at 1080p but I'm starting to notice I can't always get a locked 60fps on the highest settings on newer games. The Division beta had fps in the low 30s at times. But not sure if I should upgrade my gpu or wait for the new gpu offerings from amd/nvida. Maybe upgrade my cpu/mobo, or spend it elsewhere? Think I just have that upgrade bug. Here are the current specs.

2500k clocked at 4.4gig
Ek predator 360
P67 TUF
32gb hyperx 1866 cl10
Asus 970 gtx oc
2x sandisk ultra II 480GB ssd raid1 boot
Samsung 850 pro 1tb work drive
Corsair AX760

Was looking at the 980ti or an upgrade to 6700k.

If you want maxed settings and 60fps you will need a 980ti and a 6700k in all likelihood. Games have stupidly demanding max settings that not even legolas could distinguish from high.

Poor performance in the division could be due to being a beta or something.

I'll go for the cpu/mobo upgrade then will also need ram thinking of these bits.

6700k
Asus VIII maximus formula
32gb corsair dominator 3000mhz

Is it worth going for faster ram?

That PC looks pretty good already.

You'll be paying a lot of cash for minimal improvements in my opinion.

Keep what you have for now. Maybe the next gen of GPUs due out in the next few months might be worth considering.

logic would dictate that but I'm not very logical.. I changed the case and cooler a few weeks ago to the Define S and EK AIO, just want to fully upgrade now. I know I'm only going to see small real world improvements.

Ended up going down the cpu/mobo/ram upgrade route will wait to see what new gpu's come out or pick up a used 980ti for now
