Hi All

The spec of my brothers PC is below, only thing missing is he has a 1TB HDD.
I was wondering on an upgrade path. I was thinking of getting a 1060 6GB or a 570/580 8GB and a then an SSD. Then replacing the CPU, MB and RAM later next year.
What would you do and any issues with this, would the PSU handle a newer card?
It's for gaming at 1080p (ARK, Fortnite, PUBG, Fallout, CoD. etc) and no plans for higher res at the moment.

CPU = Intel Core i5-3450 3.10GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail
CP-407-IN

MBOARD = Gigabyte B75M-D3H Intel B75 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
MB-397-GI

GPU = MSI HD 6870 OC 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
GX-143-MS

RAM = Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9)
MY-290-CS

PSU = OcUK Crusade 650W Dual-Rail High Efficiency '80 Plus' Power Supply
CA-043-OK

I'd say SSD for sure, they are reletivley cheap at the moment and they make so much difference for general usage.
Stick your system drive along with a few games on the SSD and use the 1TB for general storage. You can get a 240gb SSD for about 40 quid.
It's an absolute no brainer.
Yes I know it won't matter much in game, but having an SSD is a huge upgrade for general usage, Windows boots so much faster, games load a lot faster, and if you system uses page file,.. That's loads faster too.

Also as above a new graphics card . I'd go for a 580 or 590 if the budget can stretch.

SSD will ‘feel’ like a big upgrade.

Then GPU for performance as you’ve suggested.
