what to use a DVI or RGB ?

hi all this is my first lcd monitor and i was woundering what is better when conecting to the computer DVI or RGB

I'd use DVI as it is digital- so the picture should look clearer. However, the difference really isn't much.

That said, the Computers graphics card output is likely DVI, so using a DVI cable makes sense.

i have both i have it hooked up as rgb would it be much better using a dvi or is it very much in it ?

would the text be sharper the colours depper and more contrasty using dvi or is it not that much in the 2 inputs

DVI is slightly more crisp/vibrant... but unless you litterally swap the same image from DVI to VGA and back again using a KVM or something you won't notice the difference... very few if anyone could tell in blind testing aslong as the display optimally supports both inputs... some TVs don't work so well with VGA but thats not usually a problem with PC monitors.
