What to use as my monitor?

OK, so my mum decided she wants to buy a new TV, and I've requested that I keep her old one. My question is, for general computing, and a lot of gaming, shall I use:

My 22" Dell PC Monitor :: 60Hz :: Not HD
My 32" LG TV Screen :: >60Hz :: Full HD
The 42" LG TV Screen :: >60Hz :: Full HD

Not entirely sure of the refresh rates, but I was just interested what would be better for gaming specifically.

Any comments are welcome!

Generally I'd say that the monitor will give you the best image quality - TVs are good for size and impact when running a game but the resolution limitations (even on full HD TV's) show themselves when you go back to the desktop IMHO as you're sitting a lot closer to a computer screen as opposed to when watching TV.

Of course the easiest way to do it if you've access to all the units is to plug em all in and see which you prefer.

It depends how close you are going to be to the screen. If you are far away, the TV screen would be a better option. If you are sitting close the monitor should be noticeably better.
