Just stressing my Phenom II x4 955 processor:

Overclocked at 3.6ghz with 1.4v

Core temps are currently around 48-50

However, CPU temp is currently around 60-62 degrees! Thats like the thermal limit of these processors!

It makes no sense, I have used hwmonitor and everest, they say the same thing.

Edit: I suspect the CPU temp to be wrong as when I stopped the stress test, temps dropped to 47 degrees in one second, while core temps are gradually falling down

Ive found everest to be inaccurate . Been using it for a few days now and it also shows my fsb all over the place while other moniters show it rock solid. Temps are higher with everest to.

Seems different people have different results with hardware monitor apps. I think a lot of it depends on how well its programmed for the board/sensor in question.

I have 0 problems with everest. Whereas HWMonitor reports just about every reading wrong :(
