Just watched all 7 seasons of The Shield back to back. US current on every TV show worth watching I'm aware of. GoT is the only show still going now that Vikings has finished. All the others are on Season or mid-Season breaks.

I looked at Criminal Minds, decided it was repetitive and by the numbers, I didn't like the production quality of Di Vinci's Demons. Touched was repetitive as well.

Waiting for Fallen Skies and Breaking Bad.

What can I entertain myself with in the interim?

dexter?
trueblood ?
arrow (not a huge fan personally)
Revolution ?
continuum?
Person of interest? (really good show if you give it a chance)

Dexter - I stopped watching this around the time his girlfriend was pregnant - was just getting too repetitive. Would revisit if it picks up in later seasons.

Trueblood - Don't know anything about it but I'll check it out, thanks.

Arrow - If that's the cartoon thing, then yak!

Revolution - Am US current. It's a bit weak, but in the absence of anything better...

Continuum - Am US current. Again, a bit weak.

Person of Interest - Am US current. A good show.

The Newsroom.
Hannibal
Bates Motel
Hemlock Grove
Justified
Nurse Jackie

Throw some of the comedy line ups in there? Modern Family, Always Sunny in Philidelphia, Arrested Development, The Office, Parks and Rec, The League, Wilfred...

Theres also
Bates motel (normal bates teenage years, he was a serial killer)
hannibal ( The series is based on characters and elements appearing in the novel Red Dragon by Thomas Harris and focuses on the budding relationship between FBI special investigator Will Graham and Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a forensic psychiatrist destined to become Graham's most cunning enemy)

those two started fairly recently.
Not watched them my self though

EDIT: sons of anarchy is worth a watch as well

oh and theres "banshee" if you haven't tried that yet you should check out on youtube "Banshee 1x06. Fight, Albino vs Hood " one of the most brutal shows there has ever been and I can't link that video here for obvious reasons lol

ROME is brilliant aswell if you never watched that, another HBO series , do HBO ever make bad series lol?

The wire - if you enjoyed the shield
Breaking Bad - regarded by many as one of the best

They should keep you going for a bit.

Some older series to try:
Fringe
Arrested Development (brush up on this for the new season ;))
30 Rock
Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles
Weeds
Chuck
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Dexter is still a little repetitive, new serial killer every season for him to deal with. But it has got better as of the last series as more people find out about him and he has to make tough decisions on what to do.

Worth getting back into the latest series.

I don't think either of those would interest me, sorry.

I'm US current on SoA & Banshee.

I watched it and loved it! You know the BBC made it as well right? Cost them a fortune.

well season one of rome cost over 100million for season one and the bbc only paid 800k per episode less than 10% of what the season one cost to make.
so it cost about twice as much as game of thrones

theres also
if you never watched it that was pretty awesome.

I never watched the first series well I couldn't get into the first series but the second series was a full reboot with the same actors, they are doing the same again for series 3.

Homeland is worth a watch to if you haven't already seen it

Today I started on a few shows I've been meaning to start on, American Horror Story (which I'm loving!) Person of Interest (again great) and Nikita (only watched one episode, too early to judge but it gets good reviews)

person of interest gets much better as it goes on in season 1 and almost every episode is connected as part of the series arc even though it doesn't seem like it

Just watched first two episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Brilliant. After watching BSG;Fringe;Firefly;Breaking Bad etc this was a really nice change, short sharp comedy :-) (And at only 22minutes per episode it seems without adverts :-D )

One of the funniest episodes in It's Sunny is when Dennis introduces the "Dennis System" on how he sleeps with women and then leaves them :D

Other series to try:
Longmire - Police drama set in rural town where the Sheriff is like a texas ranger.
Justified - US Marshall gets relegated to his home town as a demotion for a shooting.
