The last one I took apart was so easy but that was a long time ago but back then all you could replace was the HDD.What's the model of the Lenovo laptop? Laptops aren't usually as bad to take apart as they were about 10 years ago.
Yep 10 screws, might try the plastic from the milk carton, I want to get it apart before I find a place to get the ram. From the YouTube video I found, you just need to undo a few screws and prise the bottom off your laptop. If you have a bit of plastic in your recycling, you could use probably use that to get the laptop apart. A piece of milk carton, maybe even folded in two, would probably do the trick.
Yes it has 4gb that is soldered but there is also a upgrade slot for the RAM.Are you sure the RAM in your Ideapad isn't soldered so not upgradeable? It is soldered in my five-year-old Ideapad 5 and current Ideapad 3s.
I used a debit card cut lengthways to remove the base of my Ideapad.
I didn't want to use the knife but that was the only thing I could use to open it up a bit, I watched a video and the person used something similar to open up the corner then he used a plastic tool, whare ever he was using to start it off was something proper,a guitar pick would have been to thick to start it off.It should be easier to open up after the first time of doing so but I'm always reluctant to use metal when prying plastic panels open, as they can gouge. Actual guitar picks are good in theory but I find them to be very brittle and snap off inside the joins when prying, which can create its own problems.
Yes I'm sure as I used the crucial website and used their auto scan hardware. Plus I also opened the laptop up.You sure?
