I'm currently building a HTPC and need to decide on a TV card, however I'm not really up to date on what's a good TV card these days? I need to do the following.

Work with both Media Portal and Vista MCE (not decided on which software to use yet)
Digital Tuner
Have two tuners built in so can record one channel and watch another.

Any suggestions and personal experience?

Really bad experince if you do not have a dedicated aerial or one in the loft. Go in to any major computer retailers and see how many have been returned. All of them in the one I went to including the one I returned by Hauppage which was supposed to have been one of the best. I would recommend one with hddtv for future proofing.

The HTPC will be for the main TV downstairs with a dedicated rooftop aerial so signal shouldn't be a problem (TV gets good freeview signal).

I'm using the compro E700 from this site with a Vista HTPC. No problems with it at all, quite cheep and picks up 73 channels with a small indoor ariel.

I will be getting the Hauppage Nova-T 500 tomorrow, supposedly a very capable card and has all the features you mentioned!
