Hi.

Thinking of spending around 30-40 quid on a TV Tuner, any good ones around that price? Ones that can record different channels whilst watching another and also have freeview?

Anyone? :(

Looking at these:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...ate DVB-T220 Digital TV Internal PCI - Retail

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...ick with Windows Media Centre Remote - Retail

Dunno which one is the best or if any of the others in the price range are better.

Do they all do recording at the same time as been able to watch another channel and do they all have like interactive support, you know the red button thing.

none of them above are dual dvb-t. which means they only record what u are watching.

u need something like this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...l DVB-T Hybrid Internal PCI TV Tuner - Retail

as for interactive support no dvb-t cards have software for that. u will need windows media center tv pack 2008 update for vista to get that feature.. but the update is only for oem vista systems.

im running the pack, it as some nice features..

Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008
Code Name: Fiji

The Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008 is an upgrade to Media Center functionality released in Vista Home Premium and Ultimate. However, there are some important notes and installation instructions you should be aware of before attempting to install the package.

Important Notes:

-The Media Center TV Pack is only being released externally via licensed OEMs. Therefore, installation of the TV Pack must be on top of a clean Vista SP1 install. There is no upgrade from Vista RTM or previous versions of Windows XP Media Center Edition.

Is that one you linked to really worth the money?

Also do I just do a fresh install of Vista then slap that TV pack in? Bit annoying I took Media center out of this installation :(, is it possible to re install it?

Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T 500.

Hybrid/Analogue is dead.

And will the TV pack be released as a public update once its cleared through the RTM channels?

Just had a search around the internet. Seems MS may yet again screw over its customers by making this an OEM and new purchase only release. Apparently in over a year of testing, they havent even looked at testing an update proccess :(

I bought a new PC like, 4 days ago to be my Freeview/DVD/BluRay/Media beast! GRRR

I wont ever buy another compro card again. Had endless trouble with the software crashing constantly, as well as the poor interface of it all and not being able to get some of the main channels which the rest of the freeview receivers in my house could get!
