I have a leeking section oand guttering and going to replace it before the really bad weather starts but when Ive had a look on the B&Q website it doesnt look quite the same as mine looks more of a U shape:

I foolishly didnt think to take any measurement while up the ladders!

Im going to have to cut the existing piece and put a join in with a new section connecting to the down pipe as it hasnt been fitted properly. Sadly I cant just replace the whole section as its partially above the conservatory and cant get access.

Think it's called Square Line.

Not sure if there are size standards. Measure it up, or look for a make printed on it so you can source direct replacement.

Alternatively....use some white gutter seal mastic.

Looks like square line, but could be something too specific to replace. Could probably use some mastic of some kind for the time being.

What's the rest of the guttering like? It's not that much of a job to replace guttering to be honest, so long as you're okay with ladders.

It looks similar to the u-zone gutter I have called Marley, I picked up some bits from eBay a little while back.

Square Line. And I would go to Screwfix for it wouldn't bother with B&Q - they are just full over overpriced consumerism stuff.

Also plenty on eBay too.

Does look like squareline
Best to get the manufacturer name off off a fitting as diff makers `can` be different sizes (i.e. one makers 125mm is different to another makers 125mm or slightly too loose or tight)
Gutter mastic works ok but silicone sealant is a bit hit and miss as gutter can move more than the tolerance of mastic in very hot/very cold weather :)

Silicon sealant! That's what i'll be doing with mine which is leaking in a similar way.

Don't do this! PVC gutters expand and contract with changes in temperature and are designed so that the gutter can move freely within the joints.

You can just buy replacement gutter gaskets if you can find out the make of the guttering. Especially on older gutter that have faded it'll mean you wont have a new joint that stands out like a sore thumb.

Squareline is just a generic term for square guttering. You need to know the make ideally as there are quite a few different shapes and sizes.

The one in the OP looks similar to Marley Flowline, but its hard to tell. It doesn't look like Floplast square gutter that they sell at B&Q and Screwfix.

thanks for the tip. If you can't find the same make what are the options to seal the leak?

Looks like the rubber seal might still be there attached to the gutter and covered in gunk. Take that off and clean it up and clean the gutter joint and gutter. Then buy some silicone spray and give all mating parts and the gasket a spray with silicone and re-assemble. If it doesnt stop the leak then have a look online for a replacement rubber gasket.
