What type of wood when trying to delid ?

Using the vice method.

I tried MDF and plywood as that's what I had lying around. The cpu just indented itself into the wood.

edit: Used acrylic in the end and it worked.

Id suggest a bit of hardwood like mahogany for anyone attempting this. Hope it went well, be nice to see what sort of temp drop you get.
