Hey all.
I have only ever bought tyres once, which was in 2006 for a 2000 Micra.
The rear tyres are nearly new (forgot the brand but are regular Continentals or similar brand) and I need new ones for the front on a 2007 MK2 TDCI 2.0 Focus.
I don't want some Chinese rubbish as I believe tyres are not an area to skimp on. The car has been mapped too so that is another reason for no economy rubbish.

I have no idea what tyres to get. I intend to get them changed when I visit http://www.topmarquesuk.co.uk/ sometime soon for a wheel refurb.

I have been looking at http://www.blackcircles.com/ and I need 205 55 R16 tyres.

Camskill have ContiSport 2's on for not too much money:

They also have the PremiumContact for slightly less if that's what you've already got on the back and wanting to keep the same:

Those tyres seem very reasonably priced :).
I will check what tyres are on the rear and post back :). My Dad put them on at the big 75000 mile service before selling the car to me.

Worth phoning around local fitters, i'm fairly sure it was that exact size CSC2 I put on mine a few months ago and I got them for £65 a corner fitted.

I have just fitted that size to my Mercedes CLK, went for Dunlop Sportmaxx RT's and they seem great so far, and very reasonable fitted via black circles. Tried to kick the back out tonight in the wet, and couldn't, must try harder clearly :)

£77.48 each fitted.

Michelin Primacy HPs are rubbish!
Try and get some ContiPremiumContacts.

I have never heard that the HPs are rubbish before.
I did make an error in my previous post. The tyres are £160 fitted plus a £30 MOT. The rear tyres are new and the fronts will be new so I can't seesee why Kwikfit would try to sell me anything unless the exhaust falls off :).

Each to their own but I'm not a fan.

I am afraid I haven't had enough cars or enough sets of tyres to know the difference in performance between different decent tyres.
As long as they are decent all-rounders that don't skid when the boost comes on I am happy really :). I always try to keep to big brand tyres that have some level of good reviews.
