what tyres for modeo?

need new fronts soon for my mondeo, 205/55/16's, i'm edging towards eagle F1's or toyo proxies, anything else i should consider and where's cheapest (fitted or not doesn't matter) i know the eagles aren't that good when it comes t wear but what's better wearing etc?

Goodyear HydraGrips are suppose to be good and long lasting

Eagle F1's tend to lose quite a lot of the steering feel with tall profile tyres.

F1s only lasted 10k on my Mondeo on the front. 20k on the rear.

About to replace all four tyres soon and would like something that lasts more than 10k

The hydragrips on mine are on about 10k now with loads of tread left still.

Michelin Pilot Sports have been hard wearing on my 330d. About halfway through my current set and they should be good for 20-25k miles.

They're usually quite pricey, but if you can get access to someone with a Costco membership they tend to be a fair bit cheaper - particularly if you buy 4 (you can often get a 20% discount).

I dont think Ive never had a tyre last 20k front or rear! And that includes Zafira 2ltr DTi/Octy 1.9 TDi

I managed to get 4k out of my Zafira fronts when I went to the ring - Had to do a front to back so the lease company didnt kick my ass!
