What upgrade from HD595??

Had my HD595s for 4 years now and have seen tons of use, and while very good, looking to try something different.

Budget around £150 and maybe £75 for a headphone amp (recommendations?) or a dedicated soundcard. Only criteria for the headphones is they need to be open-backed and have detachable pads.

Was looking at the HD598s?

Q701 above are superior to the 595 and 598, good price there.

50 cheaper but still great sounding is the K 612 pro

These will need an AMP to sound at their best.

The Q701 are a different signature. If you want something colder, more detailed and spacious the Q701 are a shout. If you want something similar to the HD595 but with better resolution, mids, treble and balanced sound look into HD600(Used or sale)

The HD598 has good mids but I would probably look into something better in other areas.

I went for a pair of AKG 702's off Amazon for £159. Gonna look at an Asus STX soundcard next, thanks for replies.
