Guys,
I have got that upgrade itch again but I just dont know what part of my system I should upgrade.

I thought about upgrading my GTX 480 SLi but thought against it as it was pointed out to me it was just not worth it.

My i7 920 has been a dream, currently running at 3.60GHz.

I have 12GHz of DDR3 ram (6 x 2GB)

My SSD is quite old now and its a Crucial M225 128GB sppeds of 250MB/sec Read, 190MB/Sec Write, Cache 64MB.

I mainly use my PC for mmo gaming and I like to run the game at max eye candy. I have 2 x Dell U2412M monitors at 1920x1200.

I am thinking an SSD upgrade will give me a performance boost, what yer reckon? :D

That's a pretty decent spec PC to be honest. I run a GTX480 myself and I still find it handles everything I throw at it at 1920x1200. Amazing to think that this card is nearly 3 years old!

I definitely wouldn't bother getting a second 480 for SLI though. They draw far too much power and kick out too much heat for that. If you must have a new video card then i'd swap it out for a GTX670.

Edit: Just realised you already have SLI 480's! Well you may as well keep them with the winter coming up :p

I don't think you could do much to that setup that would give you an obvious boost in perfomance though. It's a pretty powerful setup despite being a few years old.

Doubt a new SSD would see much of a boost as you already have an SSD (even if it isn't on the cutting edge).

They may be twice as fast in bench marks but I doubt you would see a huge difference in real world usage.

Personally, i'd save my cash until it buys me an upgrade that is really noticable.

Or if you have a wedge of cash burning a hole, how about a really top end case? What case do you currently have?
