So picking up a new MacBook Pro tomorrow which means my current bag of adaptors will no longer work directly with it so looking for recommendations on a hub.

With my current MacBook Air I currently use:-
  • Thunderbolt to Ethernet adaptor (occasionally)
  • Thunderbolt to VGA adaptor (occasionally)
  • Video out over thunderbolt (often)
  • Inbuilt SD/Micro SD Card reader (very often)
  • USB (all the time) for lightning charging, USB B charging, USB keys, connecting a CF reader
Think I could probably drop the VGA out as long as I could connect either a HDMI or thunderbolt cable.

So any recommendations?

Thanks.

Don't buy the Anker Premium one with just USB and HDMI. I had one for my 2015 MacBook 12 and on buying a 2017 MBP found the wifi stopped working due to interference!

I have the same one, and don't have a problem with WiFi on a 2017 MBP

I have the Elgato Dock - no SD Card unfortunately, but one of my screens has one built in the hub so it doesn't matter to me.

Really surprised that there isn't and all in one solution, may have to consider multiple adaptors. So far I've picked up a few USB A to C adaptors which covers most of the storage connectivity requirements but need to sort video next.
