What Version Of Vista is this?

Yeah that looks correct. Not sure why there isn't a code with it though. Is it a corporate version maybe?

Sorry, yeah its a volume license one. Is that ok? Do I miss out on any features with business?

Ok so you seem to lose some media features. Are these available to load afterwards or can you not get them at all?

Also, I can get these versions:

SA Windows Vista Enterprise
Windows Vista Business
Windows Vista Business KN
Windows Vista Business N

I think the KN and N versions are different languages arent they? That table doesnt say the difference between enterprise and business. Which one should I go for? (will be for use at home so would this be suitable for games and such? or should I dual boot with XP for games)

You'll still need a VLK, ask your IT dept.

Yes, they should be able to be viewed by the licence purchase itself if your under a Open or select agreement.

A KMS VLK is a key to activate to an internal Key Managment Server and not to a Microsoft server. That'll require a Multiple Activation Key (MAK).

Ok ive requested a Windows Vista - MAK - thats the right one yeah?

Which version should I go for then? Business or enterprise?

Business for you, although you should realise that you can't add the media functionality on afterwards. You'l have media player but none of the funky media center bits or DVD maker etc.

The media centre is for using your pc for watching and recording tv, as well as video, music, pictures, etc. pretty much the same as XP Media Centre Edition.

I've got Vista Business at work and so far, this is whats missing compared to Ultimate (All be it the RC1 i had a few months ago) -

Media Centre
BitLocker
Microsoft Games (No more slacking off with solitaire!)
DVD Maker

I understand them not adding MCE, games or dvd maker, but surely Bitlocker should have been added to the business version?!

Anybody else noticed any other features missing from Business?
