What version of Windows 10 do Ultimate users get?

Hi all, I have a few PC's here, all run Windows 7 64bit Ultimate. They have the repeated "Reserve your Windows 10 upgrade now" pop ups.

A couple of things bug me, well maybe more.

I like to do clean fresh intalls when changing an OS, I like to retain previous functionality and I would like to retain the top OS package as that is what I had.

Is there an ultimate equivalent of W10 and do we get that? What am I losing?

For instance, I use Windows Media player and Windows Media Centre with a MyMovies set up, with Windows 7 home networking so they can access each PCs shared folders.

Can I do this with Windows 10?

My kids are 5yrs old, 9yrs old, 11yrs old, do they need Microsoft ID's to get the most out of Windows 10 on their own PC's (two share a PC)?

Having heard it is pretty app based with purchases required, is there stuff like Windows media Center available?

Sorry if this all seems a bit dumb, splitting headache.

There is no Win10 Ultimate, Win7 Ultimate upgrades to Win10 Pro.

Windows Media Centre is gone in Win10 I'm afraid, you'll need to find an alternative depending on what features you need. This has annoyed me a lot as no one has ever produced a TV PVR solution as slick as WMC and which "just worked" with virtually no hassle.

I get win 10 Pro...heading back to win 7 Ultimate though. Had 10 for a couple of months and so many things don't work the way I want them so going back today with a fresh win 7 install.
