This was a 'game' we'd play in rare IT classes at Primary School in around 1997-9 time when our school first got 15 or so PCs. It was an adventure game and the few bits I remember fairly well are that it involved something a bit like street view (I think you were cycling on British looking countryside roads), and you would (for instance) click on the top of the screen to move to the next image further along the road. I think the overall aim of the game was to look for clues or something to solve a mystery. The other scene from the game I remember quite well is that it was a static scene of someones back yard with flower pots and rakes etc and you would click on various objects to see if there was a clue there. The only game I can think of is Where in the World is... but I'm fairly sure it is not that, unless this was a junior version or something! (i'm pretty sure we also had that game installed and I am just getting confused).
