Just wondering really, Ive always used the chase view (smallest car view) and have done I think on every racing game I have played but last night though id give the in car view a go for a laugh and wow  it makes the game feel so much more realistic, I loved it every bump in the road could be felt but I find it very hard to judge the corners and felt the need to go back to chase view to actually win races. I found the inside view where you only see your clocks a little easier than the in car view but cone challenges are still out of the question for that one..

While i can drive with the cockpit view, i'm better (though i am out of practice atm) with the chase views. The bumper camera views are a big no no for me.

Bumper-high for me!

In-car is good and atmospheric, but the view is too limiting.

Behind-car, no no no! I can't judge corners at all - oversteer and overcorrect = crash :p

:( I don't have this game yet.. :(

So i use the look at pictures in the "XBOX 360 PGR3 Photo Gallery" view.

"but i have got the PGR3 demo off live..But not played much yet"

Chase view mainly, but I am getting better with the cockpit view, which i find thoroughly engrossing.

1st Bumper Cam, I can slide round a corner like a dog on freshly waxed floor, I use to play with chase view on the Saturn/PS2 but the bumper cans just add speed to the game.

I always used to use the chase cam but since playing PGR I found I could get much faster times with the bumper/incar view. It allows you to judge corners better and avoid oversteering and losing speed.

Try it and see

Had another blast last night and bumper view (I take it your talking about the view of your clocks and noting else) and its actuallly quite good for judging the corners, I use the edges of the clocks as a fixed juding points and when the corner more or less clips them I know ive took it right and can hit the power button, also its quite easy to correct any oversteer as you can see instantly if your veering off, :) still think im gonna be going to chase for cone challenges though,,, thanks guys

I used to always use the chase views but then when i played online i played a few races switching between in car and bumper views

Tend to use the bumper view more but can never go back to chase now as i just cant judge the corners properly

Yeah im finding that now and ive only played an hour or so of bumper view, the worst thing about going back to chase is that you realise how much slower it is than bumper view.

Closest chase camera for me, not sure how people drive in the bumper view, i can't do it cause i can't see where the backend is to correct it if its sliding.

I find that you can 'feel' where it is (may take new converts a bit of practice!).

Ever since the original ridge racer, i have used the bumper view in all racing games, i get a better feel for the cars position and handling from this view, the chase view i find is just wrong and feels disconected from the racing experience.

Same here. I like the sense of speed the low bumper cam gives but your view of the road is too limited and corners tend to just appear.

Im doing pretty well now using bumper view, I swear the cars go faster, ive completed a couple of challenges that I couldnt do on chase view :) forgot to sign in though so they werent saved,,dohh :( Only downside is you dont get to see how nice your new cars look speeding along..

I love the in car view but find I'm faster in the high bumber view, which is a shame. I spent ages getting my online league position into league 5, so now despite wanting to play the in-car view I tend to use bumber. I might just swallow my pride and let my league position slip to enjoy the game as it should be played!
