can someone recomend a voltage for thr Q6600 to reach 3.4GHz?

i reached 3GHz on stock volts and ive went up to 1.3V to try n get 3.4GHz but i dont feel safe going any higher without confirmation.

its been unstable so far whenever i change voltages:confused:

thanks

ok... whats safe.. as long as you load temps in prime95 are under 70c then feel free to raise the vcore.. max vcore is around 1.55v although if you have the cooling you can go higher but am pretty certain your TT will max out on temps before you hit 1.55v

In regards to voltage every CPU is different and there can be quite a large difference so really it has to be trial and error on your part.. I would put 1.4v and see what that does.. if you can load windows run prime95 (make sure you have error check enabled in the advance menu) if it runs that for 15 mins then reduce the vcore by 1 notch and repeat until it fails in the first 15 mins.. then raise by 1 notch and run prime for a good couple of hours.. should ensure your stable.. then sort your memory and run a blend test for a couple of hours... if it doesnt post at 1.4v then keep rising till it does and run prime.. add vcore if it fails in the first 15 mins

Ensure that your memory is set to slow mode.. i.e. if its C4 then run it at 5-5-5-23 will make sure its not your RAM failing on a clock.. and keep it below its rated MHz
