Hi All,

I think we all know how many threads there has been about computer gaming in decline, but I think that the below linkage puts that one to bed really... its a link to the beeb about a report that the PC gaming alliance did about the state of PC gaming... interesting read :)

"Despite Xbox LIVE and PlayStation, the online platform that remains the most accessible and robust is the PC."

So enough of the PC gaming decline threads already ;)

Great PC gaming makes money, but how much of that is MMO's and crap like that?

Surely you've realised how few exclusives we're getting these days? And how they have been replaced with shoddy ports?

Depends on what sort of games you like but there were probably more exclusive titles on the PC in the last 12 months than on both consoles combined.

I very rarely buy console games nowadays. 99% of my time spent gaming is PC based.

I mean I will buy the odd big hit console game, but if I know its coming to the PC, I usually dont bother at all.

Which may be why you think PC gaming is dying as they are better served by the consoles. However if you interests were more towards RTS or MMOs then the consoles would not be of interest. I still contend however that there were more PC exclusives than either of the consoles and probably more than both put together.

Those 3 alone are more fun to play than anything out there on pc which is just my opinion and taste of course.

I have a decent ish rig but there's just nout to play on pc at mo.

Am waiting for left 4 dead update as I am bored of it now, and operation flashpoint 2 but other than that I'm struggling to think of anything that excites me about pc gaming.

As for pc street fighter 4 I'm not interested seeing as there's going to be macro gamepad cheaters and no doubt health hax

Almost the entire pes community widely denounced pes 2008 and pes 2009.

I had pes since pes 4 on pc and no pes 2008 (which I bought and still have it had around 2 hours playtime and thereafter gathered dust) and 2009 (which I bought) are both broken buggy unplayable lag warp fests online have broken keepers daft animations oh and did i mention is unplayable online ?

Fifa09 360 is miles better and that's coming from a die hard pes fan, the pc version of fifa 09 is nothing like 360 fifa.

I cant believe you've brought up pes 2009 it was a disaster ? it went straight to bargain bucket a week after release.

I think the reason high st shops don't stock pc games much is simply because pc gamers are a bit more clued up and buy their games half the price online.

I also had fifa 09 on the 360,But i did not like it! I went out and bought another 360 in january,But found it was a waste of money spending 225 pound on that 360,Where as i like PC games better now.So really i should have saved that 225pound for something else.
 
well considering 11 million people play WOW thats already nearly more then the whole of PSN :P.

If battlefield 3 came out a lot of people would come back to PC gaming :(
