It's a long shot, but worth a try!

I need help on remembering what this movie was called... However, I can only remember brief details.

It's a sci-fi
In a training mission, one man shoots another man and kills him (accidentaly I think) and the man who fired the shot got whiped for his punishment.
Later on in the movie I think they fly to another planet? and then start killing a load of big huge alien bug things.... The commander? gets his leg bitten off by one and he begs the other men to shoot him because he's in so much pain.

Yup starship troopers and as said above don't bother with the others they did they are rubbish.
