For me it was Theme Park.

I previously had it on an Amiga 1200 but actually purchased a PC to play the PC version as it had more rides/looked better :p

PC spec was top notch at the time - 486 DX2/66, 4Mb RAM, 420Mb HDD, 4x CDROM

Terminal Velocity

Was an awesome sci-fi flight/destruction game. You could fly round an entire planet :D

On a P133 16mb RAM jobby.

Doom and X Wing (collector's edition - most expensive gave I ever bought £50), both ran nicely on my DX266, the difference when I upgraded my graphics memory from 512k to 1mb was increadible!

Magic Carpet was the first game i actually owned, and it was on CD too and had to buy a CD player to run it :)

Secret Weapons Of The Luftwaffe was probably the first one I bought myself after saving pocket money for ages.

That game rocked, loved TV.

Mine was Doom on a 486 DX2 50 with 4Mb ram :D

Alone in the Dark - could never run it as those were the dark DOS days when just getting a game to run was a major achievement. The first games that really impressed me and that were ahead of their time were Doom and then Myst.

DOOM.

On a 386 SX16 w/4MB RAM.

Back then I had to pay £10 for just the shareware version. It was worth it though. :D

Call of Duty/Call of Duty United Offensive were my first proper PC game/s.

But we did get a big pack of games with our first PC in 1998ish and I think I played Actua Soccer 2 first.

The first PC game I bought was "The Secret of Monkey Island", which I went halfs on with a bloke at work, to run on the 386sx that was the office super machine at the time (1991 or 1992, I forget). We were on a project to write an invoice logging and tracking system for the finance department in Informix Smartware. Spent half the time on Monkey Island, tut, tut.

The first game I bought for my own PC (486DX 33) was Doom, I think. Played the Demo at work and thought, its time to build myself a PC at home.

xwing on my 486 dx33, 4mb of ram and 200mb hard disk space. Loved it, went through so many joysticks and mice. Played it the other day actually, couldn't get the sound working though :(

Dunno how people can remember their setups back then! :o

Dungeon Master 2 was my first owned game on the PC. Can still remember buying it along with my first ever Windows system so long ago.

It was a port of an old amiga game, it was crap but it still got me hooked on PC gaming!

Surprisingly, a driving game - 4D Sports Driving on a 486SX25, 4mb RAM, 170mb HDD.

QEMM was a life saver back in the day, trying to eek out those last few kB of 'conventional memory' to get things to work was a 'mare.

Medal of Honour and RTCW got me hooked on PC gaming...what a bad expensive move that was from consoles;)
