This thread made me look up Richard O'Brian and I found he is still alive at 68 years old.

Come on Channel 4 bring him back for one more series.

According to my friends I look exactly like him.

Maybe I could host a new series of the maze.

Richard's reaction was hilarious: "I'm not going to wish you luck, it's a complete waste of time".

No, Matthew Kelly's campness freaked me out way more than Richard O'Brien.

There's also the fact that it was a crap show.

I loved this show. In later years I found out a lot of it was more staged than it appeared, ie. captains didn't actually make any decisions etc.

I completely sympathise with that article, but tbh it still comes across as "I sucked at the Crystal Maze and this is my excuse".

Also,

Haha, that was my exact thought also. I can't criticise him, though, as I don't think I'd want to appear on a TV programme at the height of its popularity - it's a recipe for humiliation doom.

Off topic, but that's one of the most awesome usernames on OcUK ever.
