I only had a couple of lessons just before the test to brush up on manoeuvres, so by the time i had my "first" lesson i was quite confident and pretty much ready for my test.
I wouldn't expect any less from a wheeler dealer barrow boy such as yourself![]()
It made much more sense to me to buy a car (as i'd have to anyway after passing) and then pay for some provisional insurance which is actually quite cheap. Lessons at the time were £22p/h (2002) which really didnt make sense when learning the basics of driving and confidence behind the wheel can be tought to myself for nothing.
