Showing my age here (again!) - 486/33. The details are a bit hazy now but I think it was a simple FSB-equivalent increase. Whatever it was, the DMA chip on the mobo eventually blew and I had to replace the board.
After that it would have been the Pentium 166 as every one I came across would run at 200. That was also the point at which I realised dual CPUs were the way to go.
