Sooo, theres so many different types of coolant available to add to water cooling setups, and its rather confusing.

Ive seen water wetter and zerex, but do any of these actually make any difference?

My last watercooling setup had distilled water, and some anti freeze in it last time, i know this prolly wasnt a good idea, but is the distilled water the way to go?

I just dont want to screw up this wc setup!

Any help would be cool.

Depends how you define "difference". If you mean in performance, then no. None. Nothing at all (of any major relevance). In fact, your performance will decrease ever so slightly (over plain distilled water)... HOWEVER... these additives are a necessity when using distilled water to prevent galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals in your loop.

If your loop consists of all copper, or a mix of only copper and brass, with no other metal in contact with the water, then you don't need any additives or special coolants. Just straight distilled water on it's own will do the job. But as soon as you introduce any metal other than copper and brass, you need to use an anticorrosive additive.

A solution of 5 to 10% zerex : 90 - 95% distilled water is the common norm.
