Will the EK V2 5870 block fit both these non reference designed cards?

As far as I can tell these cards are almost the same, I am just unsure that the V2 block will fit these. If not then is there a block that will?

You should be able to check using the ek configurator on thier site. Otherwise a universal block will do the job.

Well the sapphire is not on the configurator, I have looked already, it seems to have the xfx on there though.

The designs look pretty much exactly the same apart from the extra holes on the sapphire (this can surely only be a positive thing) and some other very minor differences.

This is really a question for a friend and universal blocks are really out of the question, he does not want to strip the cards down prior to buying the blocks either so this is a bit of a shot in the dark, I was hoping that someone who owns one and has fitted a block could confirm it fits.

the card's are not the same, but the bit's that matter are the same GPU, RAM and Mosfet perdition's.

Just try it and if it doesn't fit return under DSR maybe?

I can tell him that but no doubt he will not bother to do it. I told him to DSR one of his mobo's, as he was trying to fix some crossfire scaling issues, he bought a sandy bridge setup a week later and couldn't be bothered to save himself £60 sending it back.

Now he has two AM2+ boards -_-
