okay so i am about to build a computer but i don't know what watt PSU to get my specs are as follows;

Case: antec nine hundred two

CPU: Intel core i5 2500K

CPU cooler: Thermaltake Frio

Motherboard: Asus p8z68 pro

Memory: 4gb (2x2gb) corsair ddr3

Video card: Two ATI Radeon HD 6870's in crossfire

Hard drive: Western digital 1TB 7200 rpm

Drive: LG DVDRW drive

Sound: Asus Xonar 24

MUST BE MODULAR

So what watt PSU do you think i need? also what do you think of my specs?

P.S Under £100 please

Thanks in advance:);):)

Looking at this - I would go for at least a 550W good quality PSU.

Since you are running two cards then a 650W PSU wouldn't be a bad idea as it gives you some headroom. A nice unit like this would a good plan and it is currently on for a great price.

If you are looking for a modular unit then one of the XFX Black edition range would be a great idea (as mentioned by chuggerboom and RJC), these are also really nice PSUs (here is a review).

As for you spec, it looks great. Though I would only go with the Z68 board if you are going to use the new features (compared to a cheaper P67 board).

What new features? does the z68 support sandybridge

Aye, it does - but so do much cheaper P67 board like this one.

P67 boards like this also do CPU overclocking and multi-GPUs (SLI/CF) just as well as Z68 boards.

The main benefits of Z68 boards are:

- SSD caching
- Intel Quick Sync
- Access to the onboard GPU

If you won't be using any of these features much then you may as well go for a P67 board and spend the money on a pair of HD 6950 1GB cards instead of 6870s.

Im thinking of getting the Dell UltraSharp U2311H does any one have any experience with this? Good for gaming?

Excellent monitor, really good choice.

As for the sound card question, what speakers/headphones will you be using?

Right now im thinking logitech x-530 speakers but that decision is really based more of the price than anything else i dont really care about 5.1 so if any one has any suggestion for 2.1 speakers that are competitively priced then there welcome. I will also be using Razer Carcharias headset when playing online

In that case a decent sound card wouldn't be a bad idea. Something like the Xonar DS or DX would be my recommendation.

At their current price on OCUK the X-540s are worth a look.
