What Wattage PSU should I be looking at here?

Specs:

Q6600 (OC 3.0Ghz)
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P
4GB Corsair Dominator
HD4890 (Tested and requires just under 300 max load 60-70 idle)
Coolermaster CM690

I've tried my old 420w and the system barely boots...very noisy and then powers down.

What PSU wattage would you recommend...I was looking at either 620w or 750w because of my overclocked q6600 and the graphics card. Would that be enough?

What do you think?

Thanks in advance.

620 should be more than enough, can you give the rating of the 12V rails of the 420W PSU you used as a new 420W psu should be able to power your pc

Anything above 500W should be more than capable. It should just about run on a solid 420, though it's not that good an idea... what make is it?

Its pretty old...i believe its 18a (Corsair)

Also to add...I have 3 HDD's maybe thats putting even more strain on the PSU.

I plan to crossfire my 4890 soon...would 620w still be efficient? Its just while I have the money I like to get the best option.

Thanks
