ok my friend is building a PC around a 4600+ (AM2) 2GB DDR800 RAM and a 7950gx2 what sort of wattage PSU should he be looking at?

thanks

Xionic

What is the budget and what else would the system be powering? Given the lack of information mglover070588 gives a decent suggestion of 450w+, as long as it is a decent brand.

Agree with above, you can't go wrong with Tagan, Enermax, FSP (Sparkle) or Seasonic. Considering the 7950gx2 go for 500W+ :D

Seasonic and the new corsair HX series are very highly regarded.

My corsair HX 520 has just arrived and i must say... it's very very nice, well made, and has three 12V rails.
