So, I have got the hint that I dont want to blow up my system using the current £40 (and 650w!) PSU. It probably only provides 400w anyway! It is a cheap Atrix brand.

So, I'm looking into some corsair and cm stuff, but was wondering what wattage you recommend. I have tried the online calculators, but I would like to hear it from a human, so here we go:

CPU: AMD Phenom x4 9650 (stock clock)
GPU: Nvidia 9800GTX (stock clock)
HDD: 1 SATA @ 7200 RPM (will be getting a second similar one soon)
RAM: 2 sticks of 2Gb @800MHz
OpDrive: 1 DVD+/-RW
PCI: None
Fans: 1x 140mm LED, 1x 120mm standare, 1x80mm standard
USB: Razer Keyboard and mouse

Think thats about it. Your help is appreciated!

Thanks! Also, it would be a plus if I could have 2x 6-pin PCIe connectors, because my gfx card needs it. I am using on PCIE connector and 1 PCIe to 2xmolex adapter. Messy! I am bidding on a Corsair TX650W on that online auction site, this should allow me to carry it onto another build if and when.

Although the efficiency will not be as good, it will still be over 80%- I would hate to see what my current one is!

Oh yeah... my gfx card needs at least 450w to run properly. If my current one is as bad as I think, I may even notice a small performance boost... but i doubt it!
