GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C5 800MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400DC)

GeIL is proud to announced DDR2 800MHz, PC6400 800MHz supports CAS 5-5-5 with 512MB, 1GB and 2GB Dual Channel Kit.

- PC6400 800MHz CAS 5-5-5
- 64x8 DDR2 FBGA Chips
- 240pin, Non-ECC, Un-buffered DDR2 SDRAM DIMM
- Aluminum Heat-spreader
- 6 Layers Ultra Low Noises Shielded PCB
- Lifetime Warranty
- 1.8V Power Supply

New to all this overclocking lark, got the above with a 6400 and DS3 running 3.2 @ 8x400. What tweaks should I try with my memory?

Thanks

Not sure what it is you want to tweak, but you could try to lower the memory timings to 4-4-4-15 or 4-4-4-12.

Also changing the command rate from 2T to 1T should give you a bit of a boost, but usually if you want to tighten the timings from the recommend settings you will need to increase the voltage to the RAM.

As with most overclocking take things slow and gentle dont change to much at a time, and make sure you test everything before overclocking more.

Thanks, what should I increase the voltage to?

You cant run that RAM at 1T, be carefull what voltage you apply, i have that RAM and i apply 1.9V as thats the lowest my MOBO can supply.
There is very little info around at the mo on this stuff and ive been concerntating pushing my CPU so havent even looked at OCing the RAM.
Have a dig around with Google and see what you can find out.
My 2x1gig of Geil Value DDR1 would happily do 230htt on 1.95V so hopefully this stuff will push a little beyond 200fsb
