I thought he had signed a multiple year deal with Lotus, so this smacks of Lotus PR, but who knows.

I thought Kimi was on a 1 year deal with options depending on car performance? im sure it would have matched those targets.

Weren't rumours of him looking to buy into a team? Perhaps he's bought up some Lotus shares.

I could just be completely making that up though. I really can't remember.

He had an F3 team for a few years, and the Ice One Racing brand he used in Rallying seems to now be used for a Motorcross team. Was it also the brand he used when he did some NASCAR?

I think there's been talk of him wanting to buy into a team since the rumours first started around him coming back.

I'm starting to think it might be something other than a race seat (with him just staying at Lotus). Lotus have their fingers in a lot of Motorsport pies across the world, so he could be getting involved in a team in a lower formula? Ice One Racing GP2 or GP3 team?

Lol, I thought it looked rubbish but I wanted something quick and F1 related as I didn't have a sig before, and kept missing what I'd posted. Not high-res enough thanks to jpg compression and the sig rules of 20K.

It will be out of date in just over a month

Yea could well be, a bit like Webber has going with Horner and his Arden team in GP3 perhaps.

Kimi already owned a lower formula team though in his McLaren days which he later sold off.

An F3 team, Räikkönen Robertson Racing. I think he sold his share in 2010 when he left F1.

But Maldonado isn't willing to confirm his 2013 drive, because he doesn't know if Chavez is going to keep funding him. I can't see it not happening after Maldonado got the race win and Chavez won the election, but it's possible there'll be a seat at Williams for Kimi if he wants it and if it's Maldonado's, Williams will want money.
