What will run on this machine thread

Hello everyone,
I am using this PC at work with the following specs:
Intel 2140 @ 1.60 GHZ
1 GB DDR2
Gigabyte 945P series motherboard, with the built-in graphics card.
I wonder what games (Not flash ones etc :D) will I be able to run that will be play-able for me during working hours?

Depends what you like really. If you're into football, somthing like football manager would run. If you're into MMO's world of warcraft would probably run on low settings. If you have steam maybe look into counter-strike etc?
 
I have installed CSS and it won't go over 10 fps which makes it almost impossible to play the game even on lowest settings/resolution.
I am more into FPS games. Those I play at home (CSS/TF2) won't run here at work, it seems.
 
I think you are best off having a little googling session on games that were released about 7 or 8 years ago.

As a for instance...
Kohan Immortal sovereigns released 2001ish by Ubisoft/Timegate
Probably minimum requirements...

Pentium II
300MHz
64MB RAM
400MB HD
Mouse
Windows 9x ME or 2000 (You may have issues on some older gams with XP and Vista)
4x CD-ROM
Directx 7 Graphics Card
Monitor and card at 1024x768 res
Internet for LAN

I'm still playing loads of games like these from my extensive collection on an old machine running Windows 2000 and having a blast. The newer stuff doesn't really appeal to me. I will have to upgrade sometime in next 12 months though I guess as support for 2000 in virus scanners etc is becoming a problem and if I am going to rebuild the software environment might as well have a new mobo/processor in there at the same time.
