What Windows 7 settings do you allow/block at your company?

Hi all,

Im looking at deploying Windows 7 to large number of machines but first I have been going through the new features of Windows 7 and looking at what needs to be controlled etc..

I would like to know what other administrators are doing for the below features.

VHD Features -Disable?

Ready Boost - Any real benefit? I dont want people raising calls saying they need to buy a memory stick just to find out they are getting it just for this.

Power Options - Are you going with the Windows 7 defaults for desktops and laptops or using a greener custom option?

Media Center - Have you removed media center? I dont really want to promote music or video storage on company machines.

Gadgets - Are gadgets really needed? Especially when you can easily install untested 3rd party gadgets.

Same here, we are quite small and all our staff are security consultants or work in the same field so I have it quite easy.

The only options that are really set are things like screen saver timeouts.

I'm a laid back guy like that!
