what wire do i need to do this?

link up 2 adsl modem/switches

I have a speed touch 546 which i plan to connect to my isp its a 4 port switch as well.

I have my old modem which is also a four port switch i want to connect to the 546 as i have more than 4 pc's in the house that need to be online.

so what sort of wire do i need to connect both switches? a crossover or a normal straight through connection?

Gonna need to be clearer mate.. your saying you want to connect a ADSL MODEM to a SWITCH? in that case a normal cat5e cable will do fine

Switch -> Switch = Crossover
Switch -> Modem = Normal

Modem -> Modem = Crossover
Modem -> Pc = Normal


Router -> Router = Crossover
Router -> PC = Normal

PC -> PC = Crossover

Crossover is a normal with the wires reversed. Hard to explain lol
