Is it just for this one off job or are you planning on using it a lot in future?
Personally I picked up a cheap as chips £17 B&Q own brand one recently as it won't be seeing very much use so it seemed silly to spend more. So far it has done everything I've asked of it which has basically been holding things still while I attack them with a saw or grinder.
If you think you will be using it a lot I'm a big fan of the back and decker models with a step as this lets you use yor body weight to hold the thing in place.
