What would be a good upgrade for my system.

I have
antec 1200 case
i7 920 oc at 4.2ghz
Corsair H50
G.Skill Trident 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3
Foxconn Blood Rage GTi Intel X58 mobo
coolmaster 1000w psu
ati sapphire 5850 gpu
500gb wd caviar black
1tb samsung F1
Samsung t240 24" monitor

Also have 1tb and a 700gb nas

I was thinking maybe another 500 wd black and raid 0? or is a ssd better? or any other ideas?

An SSD is about the best you can do, the rest of the system is brilliant.
Still I'd wait a while before buying one until the NAND prices settle and all the little firmware bugs floating around are ironed out.
Your call though

No reason I work and game on my pc (I'm on it a lot) so I want it to be the best it can be and I spent a lot on it so may as well finish what i set out to do.

I may get another 5850 for xmas as a present so that will look after me for a few years I hope, and I think I should wait like you said Rezolve, maybe I should get another wd raid 1 (so my work is safe) then get a ssd when they run the best that they can.

I think an SSD is your best bet, however, I agree with Rezolve about waiting (I am waiting also). SSDs, at least the good ones, have gone up in price in the last month or two and there have been lots of firmware issues with the new Windows 7 TRIM support as well. I would wait until January and take a look at the SSD scene then, see if things have calmed down.

Thanks DragonQ I will check them out then and will see what's what and If they work fine with windows 7.

and thanks phod I would buy and do buy games but there isn't anything that catches my eye at the moment, Dirt2 comes out next month (got that with my gfx card) urrm 2010 is crysis etc and I have cod 6 on xbox and ps3 and pc version comes today.
