What would be the best fans to use for a push/pull config on an upcomming H110 project?

Hi guys

I'll be putting together a new PC as soon as the Corsair 780T becomes available. I'll be using my existing kit, but I want to go for a H110 kit to replace my current EVO212 heatsink and 2x Noctua 120 fans. They are great fans, but the colour just doesn't work for me anymore lol, and the bulk of the heatsink just looks to cluttered. My new project is going to be aesthetically pleasing but needs to have amazing cooling potential with low noise (or as low as possible)

I'm about to pull the trigger today on the H110, but would also like to purchase 4 fans for a push/pull config to replace the fans that come with. Money isn't an issue.

thanks in advance

EDIT: maybe I wont be getting the H110 today, just went to add it to cart and it's out of stock lol. Still after your recommendations though please if you could.

I have a H110 Tony and it's good, but the stock fans aren't the best. They do the job, but those 140MM Noctua Industrial fans will destroy them. Just make sure you have a fan controller or something to quieten them down a bit.

at 40db, wouldnt those Noctua ones be far to noisy?

Don't forget, that's the max volume. Running them on PWM at 800-900rpm should be very quiet in comparison.

ok, so I'm guessing those two Noctuas would go on the pulling side yes? So closest to the roof of the case?

Man I wish these 780Ts would hurry, I got £300 in bday vouchers burning a rectangle in my desk lol

Edit: just seen this thread Snips, awesome http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18613892

Personally I think they'd be better in Push or Push & Pull.

Thanks mate, plenty of views, but no interest in further content. Feel free to bumb ;) I enjoyed making it, guides are my thing :D

Push pull won't be needed with quality Noctua fans. I'd go with push rather than pull too if possible. These are high static pressure fans so get them forcing air through the rad.

personally if I was going to do a Push Pull configuration i'd be looking at static pressure fans for the push and air flow fans for the pull

You don't really get much choice at 140mm, but I'd recommend these:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Noctua NF-A14 IndustrialPPC 3000RPM PWM 140mm High Performance Fan £22.99
1 x Alpenföhn 140mm Wing Boost 2 Plus PWM Fan - Red £9.95
Total : £38.92 (includes shipping : £4.98).

I'm using the 120mm Alpenfohn on my H100i and they're superb. The Noctua have a staggering 10.52mm/H20 static pressure which would be my initial choice from the limited selection available.

Those Noctua fans it says do not run off motherboard headers, how else are you supposed to run PWM fans because all ive been hearing is that they dont play nice with fan controllers.

the specs on those fans look rather rubbish..only 50cfm for a 140mm fan??? surely that's not right

I BET IT IS, it's only a 1400 to 1600 rpm fan, this fan is pretty quiet, because i have the high volume intake version...........

it's static pressure for a rad fan, not CFM that you're interested in

even so, my Xigmatek cpu cooler fans are way more powerful than any corsair.....it's 120mm....90cfm..2300rpm, you cant buy these; they only come with the cooler
