With Battlefront proving that good Star Wars games of any depth and complexity are officially a dying breed, I was curious as to what would be your idea of the perfect Star Wars game?
Personally if I was a very rich man I would commission the following PC (not sure if it would work on consoles due to the complexity of the controls) game with next-gen graphics:

Ground combat:
For ground combat I would essentially blend the scale of Planetside 2 with a revamped Jedi Knight series style of combat with the gun and grenade system overhauled to feel as satisfying as can be expected in a modern shooter, while maintaining all its' lightsaber and force combat glory, as well as balanced, lore-based classes that all have their place without being overpowered. Combat would be objective based and dependant on map and scenario.
Special characters would be achievable only by fulfilling specific objective requirements and only one of each special character would be available, and no ******* Emperor running around.
Vehicles would be as varied as Battlefront II but with an overhauled control system.
Space combat:
I would basically port the TIE Fighter flight system in all its glory and have it analysed for areas where it could be streamlined without sacrificing anything important, and give it modern multiplayer communication abilities with headset etc. I would have pre-set and clear objectives depending on the type of craft you play as (eg: TIE fighter or interceptor would be air superiority, bombers capital ships, shuttles boarding actions etc etc) that leave people in no doubt as to what they need to be doing. Like Battlefront II, boarding action on a successful landing would then seamlessly switch to first-person mode which would then also have a clear set of pre-defined objectives (eg: capture and hold bridge and strategic points).

And yes, there would be a single-player campaign too, as well as famous battles and completely customisable matches with advanced and intelligent bot AI.
