hi guys, i've got 1 gtx280, and have another on the way.

what would you consider to be a mild, decent, and exreme overclock?

these are what the frequencies are now:

- Core Clock: 615MHz
- Shader Clock: 1350MHz
- Memory Data Rate: 2214MHz

how far would you push them?

they will be housed in a cosmos s, with 5 120mm fans

Thanks

I guess the most correct answer is that there isn't a safe level of overclock.

A more practical answer would be that the recommended maximum overclock for any component varies, and is also affected by the vagaries of your particular configuration and environment.

Many people gradually increase the clock rate/data rate until the card gets unstable and then they ease off by a notch or two. This will really push the card, but the theory is that you will upgrade before the card fails.

If you want to be more cautious, work out the maximum overclock and then halve it.
