What would make the perfect case?

So not enough of them, with dense spacing of that case four HDDs is sensible number for not blocking also airflow.
And if knuckles hit to anything when installing graphics card then case is plain cramped.

Huh? The case has room for 7 HDD's in dedicated 3.5" bays, 3 in the lowest bay and 4 in the upper bay, and both bays are removeable giving a very customisable layout.

Hitting knuckles on Graphics Card? Where on earth did I say anything about that? If you're gonna put your opinion on these threads then at least try to reply to comments people have actually made rather than inventing something!

Your entire post consisted of pointing out in your opinion what other people's recommendations had wrong with them, when the OP asked what you would deem the perfect case. Why don't you try actually answering the question rather than just dumping on other's suggestions?

Esat seem's to complain about every case even though he probably hasn't done a build in them.

He seems to like the Lian Li PC-A71 which is a good case but not the best ever.

I'm gonna get my case tattooed...
I think anodizing works better for putting paint inside the surface of metal than needles of tattooer...

Definatly todays Cases need too move past the 120mm fans and onto 140-200+ size fans for more silence/better airflow and cooling :)
What is needed is hard kick to balls of GPU makers because that's where the problem (continued making of NetBursts of GPUs) is. Anything else is just trying to move problem elsewhere instead of solving it.
Of course if that heat could be stored for winter or used for generating electricity then it wouldn't be problem... but probability for that kind solution is same as number of "R"s in "fat chance".

And they're so densely spaced inside restrictive cage/tray system that if there's drive in every one of them you're going to need high pressure high speed fan for getting good airflow through it, hardly something which can be described as perfect.

You're the one inventing non existing space to there. When long cards barely fit by themselves it's guaranteed to be very cramped when you need to fit also fingers to that same space when pushing card into slot or removing it. I admit that todays cases don't have anymore so much sharp edges for getting fingers/hand cut but that doesn't remove lack of space problem:
Need to remove over half of HDD capacity for getting space is hardly anything even remotely perfect.

Could add one extra 5.25" bay...
And of course ability to get it to shrink to pocket size (with components) for easy transporting would be good addition... until that we're stuck with compromises.

For a perfect case it surely depends on what you want it for. Personally I'd like a classy looking, silent, roomy (& easy to install lots and lots of water-cooling gear), individual looking case with good cable management and soft-mounting/suspension for hard-drives (though that point will be obsolete when/if we all switch over to SSDs). I haven't found a case that fits those criteria though, so I'm making my own, though whether it comes out anything like perfect I don't know. :)
