What would you buy??

There's been quite a few of similar threads, it will differ per person.

2560x1440 is great for getting work done, especially with Window 7 Aero Snap it's nice to have windows side by side and it can really boost productivity. Very nice viewing angles and excellent colours on the Hazro.

120Hz is great for gaming but the resolution isn't any higher than that found on 21.5" screens (or even 15.6" laptops!).

I personally have a Hazro as I just love having tons of workspace and I can't stand how huge everything looks on a 27" 1920x1080 screen. Makes text on websites look so big it's like its made for people with bad eyesight, during gaming that isn't really a problem however.

I'm 50/50 with what I do. I've never experienced a 27" over a period of time at 1440 or 1080. I wonder what most people would go for, but then I do suppose it depends on what they are doing. It's a tough one

It is a tough one kh, it is made even more difficult when you can't go down to your local electrical retailer and have a try as they may only have an imac with a 27" 2560x1440 screen but then you can't ask them to load up Battlefield 3 to have a go. They may have a 120Hz screen on display but, again, you can't really try any games out on it.

People on forums will confuse you even more because some of them will prefer 120Hz and some would rather have the bigger resolution of a 2560x1440 screen so it really does come down to what you want.

So, take my advice and make your own mind up. :D

Does the Iiyama look like a good purchase? Does 1080 have chunky text, and taskbar? lol

1) Nobody really knows as i don't think it is on sale yet. The 60Hz version get good reviews though.
2) I don't know as i don't have a 27" 1080p monitor (until Monday i am using a 23" 1080p monitor but hopefully my 27" 2560x1440 will arrive). A lot of people do say that 23/24" is the maximum you should use 1920x1080 as anything bigger like a 27" you start to see the single pixels more clearly so you get more jagged edges to things. people would say "but my 50 inch plasma TV is fine at 1080p" That is right, but try sitting about 2 foot away from it like you do with a monitor and you can clearly see the pixels.

Ill be sitting at a normal desk monitor about 2 foot away, would 1080 look that pixelated?
