I will be encoding mainly but want to oc the balls of it when i learn how

Your opinions are appreciated

i would change the ram to GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC), it may not be as Overclockable, but it does have a lower failure rate. ballastix is good stuff but tricky to use when OCing in my opinion. it dies too easily, their excellelent custumer service does make up for it a bit though or look at a 2x2GB kit, to give you a choice of 8GB if needed

also your sig seems to be too big, i think

I would not bother with the raptox x. The best 7200 drives have outperformed it and for like £30-£40 less.
As above, go for geil ram. The motherboard is an excellent choice.

Most of the high end overclockers would have and do have the ballistix over the geil ram

Its better Ram period.

As for the raptor this subject has been done to death and having one for the OS is again what most top end enthusiast have.

I for one have a 150gig raptor as the boot drive.

They are faster at loading windows and have faster access times.

Its faster having the OS on a single drive to where the data is.
