Hi guy`s got £150 burning a hole in my pocket what would you change or add to my system excluding the graphics card dont need a all singing and dancing one this is my spec at the moment NOT USED FOR GAMES
amd 4200 dual core
asus a8n-e
1gb balistic 2*512
nvidia 6800
1x 80 gb hard drive for windows sata
2x 80 gb hard drives for data
using the inbuilt sound with cambridge soundworks 5.1 surround
viewsonic vx912 19 mon
logitech laser keyboard and mouse

Ah, you're safe enough then. :cool:

I would suggest upping the RAM. Seems like the most logical thing to do - although if your budget was considerably bigger, it would be Conroe time.

I think Gibbo said a while ago that the DDR was slowly being edged out.

As for the RAM, I have no idea as I don't touch anything AMD related - so you would best seek advice from someone else as far as that's concerned.

I have GEIL Ram in my Intel system and it's working fine - had trouble with my GSKill RAM (Board compatiability problem) and you can't go wrong with the likes of Corsair.
