Hiya guy's

I may have a little bit of money comming in pretty soon and am thinking of what to change on my computer... Anything I replace will be sold off to offset the cost's and I should have about £500 to kick off with

My current system is as follows;

Intel Core i7 920 D0 @ 2.66Ghz,
Noctua NH-U12P,
Foxconn Renaissance Mobo,
Radeon HD 4870 1024MB,
OCZ Gold 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 Low-Voltage Triple Channel, Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB SATA-II 32MB Cache,
LG GH22NS40 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter (Black),
Coolermaster Real Power 620w,
Antec 900-2

Don't get me wrong, I'm not suffering any performance issues, I'm just bored and it's my favourite hobby...

Or should I just go with DX'11 Compatible card and be done with it?

Nothing tbh but if it was me, I'd replace the HD4870 with something much cooler running like the HD5850. Because since I got the HD4870, my room temperature has increased quite significantly.

Overclock the CPU and maybe get a DX11 card. Also you could try pimping your rig with a braiding kit or some uv lights or something.

Yep, GPU and SSD are where I would put my money, although you don't really need them.

Any peripherals you need? New speakers/headset or mouse/keyboard?

Alternatively stick the £500 in the bank and just wait.

You should try a 4870X2. Its going to substitute having my radiator on come winter! Great card though.

Man, if you are bored get some beer and drink it or whatever you like to do with it ;-)
Or give some money to Red Cross having satisfaction that your boredom helped someone ;-)

If you dont need a Upgrade right now could just save the money for 6xxx cards. SSD seems like a nice idea but for me it just too damn expensive right now XD.
