Hi Guys!
I've just had to completely dismantle my water cooled TJ07 so that I could clean out all the blocks of dye seperation grrrrr THANKS Feser One!!!
I've just realised that if I wanted to upgrade...well now would be the time before I re-assemble the rig and fill it!
Here are my specs:
i5 750 @ 4.2Ghz (HeatKiller 3.0)
MSI GD65 P55 Mobo
4GB G.Skill 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM (@ 1680)
ASUS EAH5870 1GB
Silverstone TJ07
Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP 24"
Various high-end soundcards
Now - my issue has always been the 5870 is a good card but not quite powerful for my needs as I like to run the latest and greatest graphics cards and when the GTX 480 came out and was quite a lot faster I was pretty gutted.
Would you:
A) Grab another 5870 off ebay for some Crossfire?
B) Sell 5870 and use money to fund a GTX 580?
The only other thing is that I run a second rig based around a Silverstone SG03 case and it also needs a graphics upgrade (running a 4890 on a 32" LCD @ 1080p TV). Anyone know if a 5870 would fit in a SG03???!!!
Thanks for your advice in this matter guys!
Tom
